Donate

We receive donations in two ways.

Personal Donations. Due to our facility limitations, donations of individual computers will need to be done at our location and by appointment only. Please make an appointment with us before you show up or we probably will not be able to receive your equipment. Also look below to see what we can and cannot receive.

Corporate Donations (or multiple systems). If you have a collection of equipment for donation we can come to your location to receive it. Be assured that we understand data privacy and liability policies and will follow your direction in these matters.

What We Cannot Accept

  • CRT/tube type monitors
  • Printers

What We Can Use

  • Desktop systems with Windows XP or newer (Pentium 4 or better)
  • Any working modern laptop
  • Any working flat screen monitor

Donations of computers and computer equipment helps CTP serve its mission in important ways. The main use of these donations is to supply equipment to our computer repair classes. CTP’s computer repair classes have helped many disabled individuals obtain viable employment and having a sufficient supply of equipment is crucial for supporting this work.

We also give computers to low-income students who have no other means of acquiring a computer at home. Having a computer at home can make a significant difference in our student’s ability to be successful. Students who can work on their homework at home do better in classes. When students become job seekers, being able to apply for jobs on the Internet and response to email make a significant difference in obtaining employment.
